Ready NAS RND 2000 How long install ? Flashing Blue Lights ben on for an hour ?

Question

OK just carried out factory reset and used RAIDar to start installation. I am only using 2 x 1TB drives as a test exercise and it is taking a long time with flashing blue light mode ?

No response from RAIDar says RESCAN and finds nothing.

Should I be pateient and how long does it take ?

Or

Power down and start again ?

Hi,&nbsp;A Factory deafult shouldn't take more than a few minutes really. So, something is up.You sure that your disks are OK? Could easily be faulty disks causing this behaviour.

Hi&nbsp;Yeah I had a problem with one of the drives. I took it out and tested the reset with one drive and it seems ok.&nbsp;&nbsp;However admin and password do not work ?&nbsp;Help ?

The Factory Default has reset your password to the default password which is password

Yes that is what i thought. I have just added a 2nd drive and gone through the reset process again. So once it has finished creating the volume I will try admin and password again ? Fingers crossed it works this time ! ANy other ideas let me know ?

The default admin password for these older units is not: password&nbsp;Instead it is: netgear1
