ReadyCloud App

I  run a brand new ReadyNAS 214 with ReadyCloud 6.9.3 on Windows 10 and Apple OS X

In the lower section of the screen it says "Get the ReadyCLOUD app for Backup and Sync".

If I click on this, an installation procedure starts and finishes successfully.

But then, I cannot start this ReadyCloudApp.  None of the promised "Backup and Sync" features are available.

Even though I have installed it many times by now, I does not seem to exist on my PC or MacBook Pro, nor can I do anything with it. When I login into my NAS again, it again prompts me to "Get the ReadyCLOUD app for Backup and Sync" - and endless cycle.

Whats's wrong?

Thank you for considering this problem.

Have you checked to see if your internet security or antivirus software is quarantining the program?

Yes I've checked that, and even turned the firewall and virus checker off. No effect.

I would like to describe the problem in more detail:

On windows 10: It says in the ReadyCloud window: "Get the ReadyCloud App for Backup and sync". I click it, and it starts the Wizard. When installation is done, I see the ReadyCloud App window in the lower right corner. It connects with my NAS 214, and I can see my folders in it. I can click into it once (for example to snyc one folder), but then the app immediately diappears and is nowhere to be found. I can find the ReadyCloud App in the program tray, but clicking it to restart it gives no reaction whatsoever. Usually the PC goes static and I have to do a cold PC restart by turning power off and back on. Even Ctrl-Alt-Delete does not give back control.

After a restart of the PC, I can again install the ReadyCloud App once again (the wizard first deinstalls it, then reinstalls it), and I have ONE new chance to click into it once only. Then it disappears again just as before. Surely this behavior isn't normal?

On my MacBook Pro with OS X Version 10.10.5 : I can install the ReadyCloud App. No error messages appear. But, after installation (which is signalled as "successful") there is no program icon in the Launchpad, nor anywhere else. I simply can't find this elusive ReadyCoud App on my Mac anywhere.

        Hi Goldenbaum

Have you tried using a different computer? This is to see if it happens on different units,

When you click on the ReadyCloud icon and it disappears does the icon stay on the taskbar? Can you check the ReadyCloud application under Finder tab on your Mac?

Please try to use this link as well to install ReadyCloud

        Regards
