Turning ReadyCloud off and back on is usually the first suggestion. Have you tried that?
I personally use ZeroTier for remote access. It does not rely on Netgear and it has the added attraction of allowing NAS-to-NAS remote access for backup. Other VPN solutions are also available, but are best implemented within your router, not the NAS.
