ReadyNas 104 Volume inactive or dead
Hi all
My readynas showed a disk failure the other day. So i bougt a new disk and did a hot swap on the defective disk.
Now my volume says Inactive or Dead.
What can i do? Is there ...

This was my backup, so unfortunately no.

Hi nashoot,
Based on the logs, another disk has failed while the new disk 3 is syncing which caused the volume to be inactive. I have PMed the serial number of the other disk that failed.

If it "is your backup", meaning other copies of the data exist, then there is, of course, no need to pay for data recovery. Just replace the other bad drive, do a facory default, and refresh the backups. If you mean "it is my archive", so not all data exists elsewhere, then some kind of recovery is going to be necessary if that data is important.
