ReadyNAS 200 series
Hi,
I'm really keen to get a readynas 200 series. It said that the device would be available at the end of January, its still "coming soon".
Is there any information regarding when it might be generally available.

I installed plex from the normal netgear applist. FWIW, post install the RN202 locked up for a few hours (even ping failed). I had to pull the plug and reinsert it. The library is building now.mdgm wrote: Transcoding is not available.
SD transcoding seems to be working! XVID AVIs on my RN102 will not play with plex on my iPad. However, the same files will play from the RN202.
There's no HD content in the library at this point, so I have no way to try that right now.- Well, that's encouraging news. Thanks for trying!
- HD VC1 files are also transcoded on-the-fly, but pause sometimes. 720p was watchable (it paused for a couple of seconds every 15 minutes or so). With 1080p it paused more frequently (and took longer to resume). I haven't tried 4G yet, just cases where the iPad needs transcoding because of codec support.
The lock-up seems to be related to building large libraries (it locked up shortly after I created Music and Photos). I'll keep an eye on it for a while. - The RN20x is the new jewel of the crown. They're the only guys to get the OS6.3.3 :-)
