ReadyNAS 2100 does not detect any disks after firmware upgrade
Hey guys, I recently did a firmware upgrade on a ReadyNAS 2100v2 from 4.2 to 6.10.8. When I connect to the device through my browser it now tells me that it's not detecting any disks. T...
Did you do the factory default that's needed after the conversion?
You are certain your 2100 is a V2? I don't think you'll even get that far if you install OS6 on a V1, but I'm not sure.
Assuming your 2100 is a V2, you should be able to go back to OS4.2.31 with a USB recovery. It might work on a V1, too (have heard mixed results).

Before I attempted the upgrade I read on these forums that v1 would fail and brick the NAS if you attempted it. So I made sure to check my model in the system menu and it indeed said "ReadyNAS 2100 v2 [X-RAID2]"
I didn't get any error, or failure messages during the upgrade. I thought everything went well until I login and see no disks.

There is a downgrade image here:
After you do the required reboot as part of the firmware update process you will get the "corrupt root" error. You can see that in the Info (far right) column in RAIDar. Once you get that error you will need to power down the system and do a factory default using the boot menu.

Or is this as simple as System > Update > Install Firmware using this file?

Your situation is a bit puzzling, as it appears that OS-6 is in fact installed on the disks (despite the fact that the system isn't showing them on the volume tab, and has no volume). If you download the full log zip file, you should be able able to confirm that.
Try just installing it first, using System > Update > Install Firmware.
If you need USB recovery, then you can just use the normal 4.2.31.
