ReadyNAS 212 replicate to ReadyNAS Duo

I bought me a new ReadyNAS 212 and would like to use my old ReadyNAS Duo for back up.

Can I use the ReadyNAS Replicate to copy to my old ReadyNAS Duo? I registerd with new ReadyNAS 212 at replicate but cannot see my old ReadyNAS duo as a save to destination.

Any ideas how I can use my old ReadyNAS Duo for back up purposes?

thx

What firmware are you using on the Duo?

Also is the duo on the same network as the 212?  If so, i suggest rsync instead of replicate.

      I use firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.14

Yes, both ReadyNAS are in my local network.

      Rsync how is this working?

      thx

You create shares on the duo that match shares on the RN212 that you want to back up.

Then you can go into the web UI and create backup jobs that will back up the RN212 shares to the duo.  You can run these either on the RN212 or the Duo, and you can create a schedule.

There are several protocols you can use to the backup.  Rsync is the best for incremental backup.

There are some guides (various knowledge base articles) can you refer to if you need more info, or we can continue with more details here.
