That can be tricky. Plex offers some guidance here:
FWIW, a few months ago I did this when moving Plex from one Windows PC to another. It didn't seem to quite work, so I eventually did rescan the media libraries, and manually fixed up media that was mismatched (and maybe adjusted some cover art).

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
Sadly there appears to be no way to submit a question for Netgear NAS 214.

What does that mean?
It might helped if you found the right model number. There is no "Netgear NAS 214".
Look at the label on the thing.
My Netgear ReadyNAS is definitely 214.

Please see attached image.
I can access the Plex files and copy them to another NAS drive.
The problem is the background and poster images are not attached to the Plex media (mp4) file. Clearly, I have missed a file or the correct procedure to add the files to the new Netgear ReadyNAS 214.
