READYNAS 214 configurazione non più modificabile

Question

BuongiornoDa qualche settimana il mio READYNAS 214 ( firmware 6.10.10) risulta 'read-only' su ogni cartella, risulta impossibile cercare firmware di upgrade, e impossibile modificare le varie configurazioni delle cartelle condivise o altro. Unica modifica recente: la sostituzione, con successo,&nbsp; uno alla volta , dei 4 HD con 4 HD 12Tb SATA (HUH721212ALE601). Inoltre resta solo il 10% di spazio sul disco (1.2 Tb). Per il resto nulla è cambiato.&nbsp; La rete e' configurata con IP statico, riesco da remoto a connettermi via ftp, o condivisione disco windows, e leggere regolarmente dal NAS e copiare dati da esso.. Vedo deik suggerimenti di disabilitare l'antivirus integrato per provare a sbloccare il tutto (in effetti il registro mostra recenti updates dell'antivirus (update 62,27732 del 20 agosto 2024) , ma non riesco nemmeno ad individuarlo, tra le varie opzioni. Qualcuno può darmi qualche 'dritta'? Grazie

The NAS does this in an attempt to preserve your data.&nbsp;Be careful not to reboot the NAS, as that could lead to loss.&nbsp;

The first step is to ensure you have a backup of the files. When that is done, download the full log zip file from the admin web ui.&nbsp; There should be some clues in there about what is wrong.&nbsp; If you need help analyzing those logs, you can upload the zip into cloud storage and send me a link via PM (private message).&nbsp; You send a PM using the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page.&nbsp; Make sure the link permissions are set so anyone with the link can download.

Everyone is seeing the update server error - 6.10.10 is the most recent firmware, so it is not a major concern.

There is some privacy leakage, so don't post the logs publicly.

I think the first priority is to deal with the inactive volume problem.
&nbsp;
As far as converting to RAID-5, that might be possible, but would have high risk.&nbsp; The safer path is to back up the files to other storage, do a factory default, and then restore the NAS from the backup.&nbsp; While this likely does require purchasing a lot of storage, you really should back up the data you don't want to lose.&nbsp; RAID is not enough to keep data safe.

It depends on whether you've put any data on those other volumes.&nbsp; But before you try anything, you should make a backup.&nbsp; That way, if something goes wrong in converting to a single RAID5 volume, you can always default and recover.

Thank You Stephen. In fact, the problem is that that NAS is the backup system for many PCs in my lab, so that making a backup copy of 11Tb is now impossible to me. I supposed that the small empty space in the (RAID5) NAS was a matter. But, in order to make some space on the NAS, I would delete something, but I cannot delete anything as all files are now 'read-only'. Anything I could attempt safely without making a complete file-backup?

That could be related.&nbsp; I am puzzled by the 10% (1.2 TB) figure, since the volume is 36 TB, so the percentage would actually be 3%.

You could download the log zip, and see if you can sort out the cause.&nbsp; Then we'd have a better idea of the options.
