ReadyNAS 314 Memory Upgrade for Performance?
Would upgrading memory in a 314 increase performance?
I noticed I'm getting good performance when reading/writing single files (saturated GigE), but when multiple computers are doing TM backups, things get slow; especially listing files/directories becomes a wait and see process. I see that all memory is always allocated (I'm assuming by BTRFS buffers).
Would increasing memory help in these situations?
Or am I CPU bound in these cases?
Am I drive/IO bound?
It doesn't look like I'm drive bound since a dd still gets around 40MB during these times (as opposed to 150+ when idle).
