As i wrote in my post the GUI didnt change the fan behavior with the original fan either.
Full speed all the time. But with old OS4 the GUI was working to change the fan behavior/profile.
So there need to be done some manual config or install additional packages to get it working.
I can se the fan min and target speeds for the "fan1" and the min are 400 and the target 1800

Is it possible to try and control the fan manually with a command?
Or are fancontrol and lm-sensors or such needed to be installed?

The new fan spins down within half a second and then turns full blast on NAS booting.
So i guess the system does something with the fan.
I just cant figure out how to control the fan since Silent, Cool and Balanced does not work.
PWM_MIN and all those seems correct.
Maybe i need to post in another sub topic?
ReadyNAS users or such..
