ReadyNAS 422 :: Unable to change device name when adding device to Insight iOS app
I am trying to add my RN422 to the Insight App, but I keep getting an error once I get to the "name your device" screen. Despite the error, the app let's me "continue", but the status of the device ...

Good. So it should be also able to communicate with Insight.
Whatever the issue is, it doesn't seem to be on your end - it sounds like something in the Netgear back end. Hopefully one of the mods ( JohnCM_S or Marc_V ) will be able to help you troubleshoot from here.

Is ReadyCloud running on the NAS (and working properly)?

The ReadyCLOUD service on my device is setup (or appears to be). However, when I log on to http://readycloud.netgear.com it does not have my device listed. On the "Discover" tab, it says No Devices Discovered. However, when I use RAIDar (as the discover tab suggests), my NAS is found and working properly.

Does your ReadyNAS have a wide open access to the Internet? The Insight agent as well as the ReadyCloud implementation does establish connections to NEtgear's cloud infrastructure...
Other possible reasons are incorrect subnet mask, wrong default gateway, wrong DNS server config, ...

I am fairly sure it does as I recieve email updates on events internal to the NAS - which means it is able to generate an email and send through the internet.
