I noticed that this only happens when I shut down the ReadyNAS 6 PLUS. Reboot seems to work just fine. AWhen shut down and turn on after 2 minutes the ReadyNAS shows "READYNAS" for 3 minutes and that "factory reset" and starts within 10 minutes to create the "C" volume. I am trying right now with 5 disc only (14 TB) to see if this is related to the 16 TB expanding limitiation. The release note says you can go over 16 TB when all 6 disc are ii and factory reset is done. Does anyone here has his redyNAS running with 18 TB? (6x4TB)
After removing all HDD's except one in slot one I still have the same problem so my conclusion is that the Readynas will not work with Hitachi 4TB (3.7) at all or my unit is defective. I am going to return it to Fry's and hope that will solve this case.
