Hi,
I'am new to this forum, read many topics but I have a question that is not found (by me) at this forum.
I have brought a new netgear duo v2, and i have a new WD 2TB (EARS, I don't know what the firmware is at this moment, I'am @ work) hdd. I have brought this drive a while back, not used until now. And I want to use this drive in my duo v2 and want to buy a new WD 2 TB (EARX) drive for a 4tb setup in my duo.
My questions are:
- The problems with this WD 2TB ears drive (4k sectors) in the past are now gone with the new software/firmware in my duo v2? Or are still there? (the hardwarelist says something about a specific firmware on the drive, tech bulletin link is dead)
- Is it wisely to add an other type of wd drive? (EARS = sata 3gb, EARX = sata 6gb) or must it be the same?
- buy a (new) red WD drive and buy an other one in the future? And put the WD 2TB (EARS) into a desktop computer...?
Thanks for answering my question!
