I swapped my 2 old Saegate 1.5TB disks after more than 5 years to 2 WD2003FZEX in my ReadyNAS Duo (Radiator version 4.1.14). No problem, but I had to do it from scratch because the old Seagate disks have been formatted with the "old" format. Therefore the normal extension method was not possible (2 TB disks cannot have the "old" format).
Up to now the new WD black disks run without any problem, but as you mention they make a clicky noise when the disks are accessed.
I have the impression that the temperature is sligtly lower compared to the old Seagate diks. No they are max. 37C; the Seagate reached 42C
