readynas Duo HDD Compatability

Currently I have a RaedyNAS Duo with 2 x 1TB drives, I want to increase the drives to 2TB, however after checking the comapatability list on the Netgear's website none the of the drive are avaialble any longer to purchase.

Can anyone suggest any 2TB HDD that are compatible with the ReadyNAS Duo?

Thanks Nick

In my opinion Enterprise Class drives are overkill for the Duo; NAS-purposed drives make the most sense.

The Western Digital Red (WD20EFRX) works well - I have one in my own Duo.  The 2 TB Seagate Ironwolf should work also, but I haven't tried it myself.  Both run cool, are acoustically quiet, and have TLER and other useful features for RAID.

Also note if you have the v1 then 2TB disks are the max you can use. So when you’re ready to expand another time (hopefully not for a while) you’d instead need to get a new NAS with new disks.
