You can move the disks to the other NAS (Assuming both are v1 platforms). Insert them in the same slots with the NAS powered down.
Note that if the firmware in the new NAS doesn't match the old, then the NAS will attempt to reinstall the firmware onto the drives when it boots. You could install a scratch disk first, and then update the firmware to prevent that behavior.
It is also possible to retrieve data from disk 1 using linux reader on a PC (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/)
