ReadyNAS DUO v2 - some files or folders cant be seen on any dlna device

hello all,

as in the subject mentioned i have a problem with readynas... i have a readynas duo v2 at home(and i also have the model before at home and in use and there is the same problem)

to this day i always thought my lg blurayplayer makes the problem, but since today i have an other dlna device at home and there is the same problem, so the root of the problem must be at the ready nas...

when i log on with my computers on the nas (on both) i can see all files + folders on it, even with my android phone and an "file explorer" app i can see all files and folders on it...

but if i connect with my lg bluray player or with amazon firestick then there are some files and folders missing, somtimes they appear when i rename these files or folders, somtimes they dissapear if i rename them, sometimes they appear when i move them somewhere else within the same nas somtimes they dissapear. (only for the bluray player and stick)

even if i copy files that can be seen and played from my blurayplayer on netgears nas1 to netgears nas 2 within the same folderstructure the blurayplayer cant see them on the nas2...

has anyone a clue what the problem is?

  • The dlna server creates its own media database.  Did you try forcing a dlna rescan?

Once you login as an admin and you are at the dashboard, click CONFIGURE. In the configure screen, under services, click READYDLNA and a dialog will pop-up for setting auto scan. Click the circular arrows and it will rescan.

      thank you very much

it seems that the stick and the bdplayer can see all the files and folders now.

i havn´t checked them all, but i am pretty sure that the bdplayer now can see all the files.

      thx again ;)
