ReadyNAS Duo
Netgear
I have a ReadyNAS Duo v2 - this recently suffered a faulty disc, which I have replaced and carried out a factory reset, and also a OS reinstall.
RAIDar opens with the correct IP address, status healthy, Firmware 5.3.13.
Admin page is accessed with the defaults.
BUT then is Safari (I’m on a Mac) a tab Not Secure - (with the IP address) this opens with a black box ReadyNas showing Dashboard 1.0.0.271 with the spinning circle frozen. Unable to get to the Dashboard at all. Tried everything!
What am I doing wrong?

Are you getting an SSL protocol version mismatch error in the browser?
Perhaps try an older version of FireFox (version 94.0.2 will get past the protocol version mismatch). Make sure you immediately change the browser settings so it does not autoupdate.
US english version for Mac is here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/94.0.2/mac/en-US/

Thank you, strange but not on the Mac, but when I tried on a Windows 11 laptop, I did get a message in Firefox to say that the webpage did not meet the required security…
I still recommend trying an old version of firefox, and see if that makes a difference.
There is an add-on from rnxtras.com that installs TLS 1.2 (which solves the protocol mismatch), but you need access to the web ui to install it.
You'll find it here: https://github.com/rdynsxtrs/r5bin/blob/master/apache2/Apache2_2.2.34-arm-0.0.1.bin
