When does the H/W compatability list get updated? Currently only the Toshiba 6TB 'E' version is specifically listed (MG04ACAxxxE MG04ACA600E), while for all the smaller sizes have the non 'E' sho...

What's the model number of your NAS?
Months ago, I heard that instead of updating the list with new HDDs, there is plan of releasing HNCL which means Hardware NOT compatible list.

In my experience, as a former employee 2011-14, the Compatibilty list did not get a high priority with Engineering.
Therr were budgetary issues, ie buying each make and model, and Engineering time associated. So for disks not on the list, you are relying on someone in the community trialing
in a situation where data is not risked, and sharing the results.
