Jedi,
Hopefully one last question for the day.
I habitually blow the dust and other things out of my NAS about every 6 months.
Basically I label my drives, pull them out and blow out the chassis and around the rear fan with canned air making sure I get the circuit board that resides at the top.
I have never performed this on the power supply unit which resides at the bottom of my Ultra4 Plus
Does anybody ever take their unit apart to blow out the PSU section?
Thanks,
Stretchjr

- stretchjrAspirantOf course I do this after a proper shutdown....
- PapaBear1ApprenticeIf you remove the PSU, you will void the warranty on the unit. The next time you take the side and top panels off to blow out the dust, you can remove the upper panel with the fan (carefully unplug the 3 pin fan power lead). This will expose the back plane printed circuit board and you will be able to see the top of the PSU under it. You can then direct the nozzle of the canned air down in that gap and blow out the dust forward without removing the "do not remove" sticker covering one of the PSU screws.
- stretchjrAspirantThanks for the info....Will clean my unit with that procedure..
