ReadyNas NV+ data loss
If anybody can help, much appreciated. Had a call from customer saying NAS drive had died, has 2 x 1Tb drives in X-Raid. Ran RaidAr, to try and get access, would see the unit, but not the drives...

Normally moving the drives to a like ReadyNAS would work fine (with the ReadyNAS powered down when you insert the drives). Is it possible that you somehow put drive 1 into the drive 2 slot (and vice versa)? Or perhaps the second unit was not another NV+?

However once finished, not data is viewable, cannot see anything on the drives.
However it happened, I suggest opening a support case for this. Alternatively find a local company that specializes in data recovery (let them know that this is from a ReadyNAS). Also it would be prudent to recommend to the customer that they should have a backup plan in place.
