readynas nv+ dead, how to recover disks?
my trusty NV+ finallky quit. not in the serial number range for the PSU service action. i have a backup, but it's a hassle because the backup doesn't delete old folders when i move them around on the RAID, so there are a lot of old folders hanging out on the backup and i'd have to sort through manually to find the most recent ones.
any suggestions on recovering the disks? is there a readynas i could migrate the disks to? i actually don't think i need a RAID anymore, kind of overkill for my use, but i don't know if there's any other way to recover the disks besides plugging them into a new chassis.
any thoughts?

Emil,
I take it power supply is dead. If you know someone with an active NV+, or search for a PSU.
The later x86 and ARM units are not compatible with Sparc NV+.

i don't know for certain that the PSU is dead but it looks like it. i get no lights at all, unresponsive.
i was afraid that's what you would say =( ok, thanks for the feedback.
If you have a suitable linux machine (with enough connections for the disks) you could do this: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=306
Note you can use a linux boot CD with an ordinary PC.
