ReadyNas NV+ Disk Failure upgrade
Hi, I've got several ReadyNas NV+ and after many years of faithful service a Seagate Barracuda 750Gb disk has failed. Can I replace it with a Hitachi Ultrastar a7k2000 2Tb and once it is synced ...

Help: Having replaced the drive I have been caught out by the 512b/4Kb issue. The drives have gone in OK and when I look in the https://nas/admin -> share listing the shares appear to be there with the correct amount of disk used. The volume has not resized from the original 1917Mb and fails to do so each time it is rebooted. Also if I go to https://nas/shares/ it says "No shares currently accessible." This is consistent with the problems of the 512b/4Kb issue. I have a backup of nearly everything that was on the NAS so I am not in desparate trouble here but I would like to get some additional files off.
So to my question: Is there a way to attach another drive say via the USB and use a unix type 'dd' command or something similar to copy off the data onto a readable drive so that I can check for any extra files? I can then re-initialise the whole device properly and copy the data back.
