With regard to a replacement PSU, this would just be a straight swap over with another NV+ compatible unit wouldn't it? (You mentioned modifying the pin out?). Could you send me the cable / pin-out details for the external ATX power supply option as well? Thanks for your help, James

The pinout is attached - the cable details would be the same for an external ATX. There are some mini-ITX, (also called flex ATX) supplies out there that might fit, but they would also need the mod.
Of course if you are taking the PSU from another NV+ (or purchase one that is pre-modified) there would be no modification needed.
