ReadyNAS NV+ no compatible drives available any more

I've just had a hdd die and comparing whats on the compatibility list with what I can buy these days, there are no compatible hard drives available any more....

Is there a more up to date list or am I ok just whacking any 2Tb hard drive in, I don't see what choice I have?

Thanks

Mark

It's been some years since they updated it.

I don't recommend consumer drives, and enterprise drives don't really offer any performance benefit with these old NAS.

NAS-purposed drives (WDC Red and Seagate Ironwolf) both work, so pick whichever brand you are most comfortable with.

I managed to find a ST2000DM001 so I've ordered one.

I'll be mixing it with 3 other ST32000542AS but I don't have any other choice. I'm guessing it'll be OK even though the new drive will have a larger cache and faster r/w speeds.

I would not have done that.  There are a lot of issues posted here (and elsewhere) on DM drives in RAID.
