I might give that a go. What are the risks with skipping the file system check? Whilst I am not massively concerned about the data it will be a PITA to copy it all back over from the other NAS. If I can avoid having to do any of that it would be preferable.
I don't think disk check is available on the NV's which are v1. The only other option is to remove them and put them in the other NAS. Again not quite ready to do that yet given I don't want to inadvertently screw up my backup in the process
