ReadyNAS NV shuts down when UPS is unplugged

Thanks for the reply! I think this *might* be user error....I hit the power switch on the UPS (as opposed to unplugging it). Does that kill the battery as well? If so I am going to feel pretty silly...
In Frontview, the NAS is set to shutdown on battery threshold: "Auto" (see http://www.evernote.com/shard/s92/sh/0d ... 1d79496958). I don't see any other options as to how long the NAS should run after a UPS failure.
