ReadyNAS NV+ v2 - front panel display out?
Does the front panel display on this unit shut down by itself? It worked fine while I was setting it up, but now it appears to be out (dark). Perhaps it only comes on during reportable activity (the N...
This is by design. Some users find the display being on all the time annoying and turning it off helps prolong its life.
If you need to turn it on you can momentarily press the power button.
However I tend to use RAIDar (http://www.readynas.com/downloads) or to login to the Dashboard (web-admin interface of the ReadyNAS Duo/NV+ v2) to check the status of my NASes.
You can also configure email alerts to be sent which can help alert you to potential problems.
