ReadyNAS NV+ v2: urgently need rescan command for DLNA

Problem: when new folder created from Windows 7: First a folder called "New folder" is created which is subsequently renamed to what I write for the folder name.
This results in the following (from the ReadyNAS log):
[2012/05/11 08:49:35] inotify.c:89: error: inotify_add_watch(/c/media/Videos/Serier/Ny mappe) [No such file or directory]
[2012/05/11 08:49:35] inotify.c:454: error: add_watch() failed
[2012/05/11 08:49:35] inotify.c:475: error: opendir failed! [No such file or directory]
("Ny mappe" is Norwegian for "New folder" as my Windows7 is Norwegian)
ReadyNAS tries to add a watch for the original folder and does not detect that this has been renamed, and thus no files for DLNA will be found!
On my NV+ v2 no DLNA files was visible from my DLNA TV the first couple of days. Now a (very) few has shown up.
A RESCAN command for DLNA is therefore urgently needed!!!!
Is there perhaps another way to force a rescan?

5.3.5 beta is available. I believe you can use this to do a rescan
  • 5.3.5-T28 has been installed.
I had some trouble seeing the new services panel at first - caused by cached pages in Internet Explorer.
I found the DLNA rescan function, and when clicking it, it pops up a dialog box with "Rescanning in progress" where I click OK to make the message go away.
It looks like it does not do anything! No more files show up in DLNA. There is no messages in the log regarding (re)scan.
Also the problem with folders created from Windows still exists (a folder with name "New folder" is created which subsequently is renamed to something else.
The log says that "New folder" not found - it does not detect that it has been renamed!
    Please fix asap!
  • Found the following:
... this add-on will remove the ReadyDLNA database and thus force the ReadyDLNA database to be rebuilt on the new version:
    (link to http://rnasguide.com/wp-content/addons/arm/DLNAREBUILDDB_0.1-arm.bin)
    - after a while the DLNA database was rebuilt and all my files showed up in DLNA.
Until the rescan is fixed, I think it will be necessary to do this add-on after adding new files for DLNA.
