ReadyNAS NV+ V2 with WD20EARS ?
I ordered a new ReadyNAS NV+ V2 and have not yet received it. Before the purchase I checked the compatibility list and was certain the WD20ears was on the HCL (I even went and checked the drives I had...
dadioh - if you can return the drives, I would certainly do so and try to get the WD Red WD20EFRX. These drives are new and have been designed with the specific use of SOHO raid enclosures in mind. They were tested in nine different brands (including Netgear) and the only models find them absent from the HCL is the NV+ v1 and Duo v1. Most stores will take drives back, especially if they have not been opened. Amazon is apparently one of the best about doing so, although I have never returned a drive to the retailer, just the manufacturer after failure.
