ReadyNAS nv+ V4 RND 4000 (DISKLESS) #24176805
Hi,
I am in need for some advice. Mt NAS drive failed due to a power cut. The unit will power up and will not boot (the led on the backup button flashes fast). I am hopeful that I will get a replacement unit from Netgear but is there any way I can extract the data from the two WD Red 2tb drives? What software do I need and I am assuming that as it was set up as x raid (I think) I will need to plug both drives to a computer.
Thanks,
Nick.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have a case number?
- I have a case number with netgear (24176805), cost of data transfer is £125. Netgear tech has said that as long as the second hand unit is the same (nv+ v2) then I can simple insert the disk 1 as long as the firmware is up to date.
Nick. - vandermerweMasterYou are assuming that the second hand unit will be in working order.
- vandermerwe - yes I am. I am hopeful that I will be able to recover from this.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI understand you might be getting a RN104 via RMA to replace the NV+ v2
- vandermerweMasterThat's good news.
You are assuming the eBay unit will be ok, I'm assuming it won't be ok. I hope you didn't pay a lot.
