ReadyNAS NV+ Won't boot
After replacing the LCD in my ReacyNAS NV+, I am unable to boot the server. Upon plugging it in, the LCD immediately lights up but with no display. This is even before pressing the power button. I know this is not normal. After pressing the power button, the power and hard drive lights flash once and then remain off. The LCD displays a few bars (not characters) for a few seconds and then remains clear, just a light green background. The NAS does not boot up and RADAR cannot locate it on my newtork. At this monent, my data is completely inaccessible.
I thought about doing a reset, but don't know exactly what that will do and don't want to risk permanently losing my data. If anyone has any ideas what might have caused this, a response will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

- PapaBear1ApprenticeDo not do a factory default as that will definitely wipe your disks clean including all data (if it will even run).
The only thing I can think of is that you may had disturbed something when you replaced the LCD. Are you sure it is connected properly?
You might try this. With the unit off, remove the drives, and note which bay they were in. Then open up the box and disconnect the LCD connector. Then, install a spare HD that does not have any data that you want to retain and see if you can do a factory default. Of course if it does start up, you will have to use the light pattern (ala NV) and RAIDar to know what is going on. If it boots, then you know it is either the LCD or the drives. If it does not boot, then something else is going on.
Note: since I have disconnected the lead from an LCD to the MB, I do not know if it is keyed or not. If it is keyed, then the board may have failed.
I note that you had some info on replacing the LCD, so you may want to see if you can contact them. - rgileneAspirantThankd for your reply. I disconnected the LCD as suggested and was able to boot without doing a factory default. It appears the LCD is at fault and have requested another replacement. Thanks for your help.
- PapaBear1ApprenticeOne always suspects the last modification or change in that kind of situation. Glad it was that easy.
