readynas pro 2 4TB or 6TB hard drives
Hello
can you tell me if my Ready NAS PRO 2 (RNDP2000 - last firmware is compatible with 4TB, 5 TB and 6 TB drives? In particular with the WD Red new drives
thank you
Valerio
Posters here have used both the WD40EFRX and WD60EFRX in the pro. My guess is that the WD "Red Pro" drives would work too, though they do use more power and generate more heat.
The WD40EFRX is on the hardware compability list (along with several other 4 TB choices), but there is nothing larger listed there. Since the product is end-of-life, I suspect Netgear won't be adding more drives to the list.
