ReadyNas Pro Business downgrade from OS6 to Radiator 4.3 failed no web access now after factory rese

Trying to breathe life into my old Readynas Pro Business Edition.

I am hoping for a simple solution, I had OS6 running yesterday after upgrading from last Radiator version 4.3 and realised I did not update the BIOS

I did the downgrade back to radiator RAIDiator-x86-4.2.31-downgrade file but now after FW install and factory reset no Radiator Web page, I can see the Readynas on the network with its IP address on a IP scanner but that's it

Have I bricked this or is there an escape,

I removed the drives but as they are now BTRFS radiator can't read them anyway.

Appreciate any suggestions

Otherwise just sell it as not working I guess

  • I figured it out I didn't realise I needed to have at least one disk installed , finally got back to 4.2 installed the BIOS update and in the process of going back to OS6. My ReadyNAS Pro Business lives again.

Only 1G of ram might need a small update most of the DDR2 Ive found is expensive for what it is.

4 GB modules are rare and expensive.  They also often don't work in the NAS.

2 GB modules are still readily available and inexpensive, and would allow you to upgrade it to 4 GB total.
