My Ultra 6 Plus had that a few days ago, not a constant ticking but a ticking, very light just like a cable in there, but not all the time, anyway I opened the side, and checked, no sign of anything anywhere near the fan, any hoo, not wanting to send it back and get a refurbished model!!!!, its only 1 month old, I pushed the fan in the centre (spindle) towards the back, not too hard, but firm, it seemed to move as I would of expeected but also slid a bit like it was not fully on...... but its been a few hours now and no more ticking :-) Yay me. its probably just something internal has moved and is catching hence the ticking.
I for one would rather replace the fan my self then get a refurbished unit after 1 month!!, seems a con for them to send a new unit which is faulty then say yes we can fix it but you will get someone elses returned item which we fixed before!
I would not mind if they gave you half your money back at the same time!
