ReadyNAS pro: Q6600 working, E7600 not...
Hi All,
I bought an used ReadyNAS Pro.
The last owner changed the CPU to Q6600, the CPU cooler to a Schyte Kodati. But for me the E7600 enough, and use less power/make less heat. 105W vs 65W, that is much.
The problem is: The NAS working with Q6600 like a charm, but if I replace CPU, no boot. Just the fans running on max, and READYNAS only on LCD. Cant reset, cant make anything.
What can I do?
In the logs there is bios_ver.log. The latest BIOS is from 07/26/2010

What's the date of the BIOS on this system?
Also note that some older units have motherboards that are not compatible with as wide a range of CPUs as newer boards.

how can I check the Bios version? And where can I find the latest BIOS for it?
It is an RNDP6350
The motherboard version is: FLAME6 v1.1 (between the CPU and the RAMs)
