Wow, this thing is a real pain. I've eliminated every possible combination of RAID 5 using 8Kb, 16Kb, 32Kb, 64Kb, 128Kb with no success. There isn't a chance that this thing was using a fixed parity disk is there??? I've verified quite a number of sectors using XOR and it's definitely using parity. That, or the customer really isn't giving me the whole story here and something is way off.
