ReadyNAS RN104 Firmware upgrade tp 6.5.1
Been using the divice on LAN for almost 12 month, and apart from the system occasionally disapearing from the LAN, have not had any issues. Although unit registered in ReadyCloud, have not tried to ...

I was running 6.5.0 before, and the data sync is progressing, it is now at 52.75%
I suggest trying to check the status via RAIDar - one potential cause of a slow sync is a failing disk.
How big are the disks? This doesn't sound normal, and I think the data is at risk. Do you have a backup?
You could potentially pull the plug (and maybe even do a factory reset and restore the data). Alternatively try booting using the "read only mode", which might give you access.
Or just wait, and see what develops.

The disks are 4 * 4TB, and were all reporting healthy and no excessive temperatures . I am using part of the NAS as a secondary backup from Timemachine, and I can see the backup files from a laptop connected to the network, accessing the "NAS 36 27 24" I can also see the sames files accessing (AFP) . When I try to access via (SMB) as Admin I can see more directories, but.cannot see any files inside any of the directories.
What is "sync" actually doing , now ar 52.95%
should I leave it for the rest of the week to finish, or if I power cycle, how do I stop it going into sync.? Can sync (if required) be started automatically? Is it trying to sync to ReadyCloud?

Sync means RAID sync - the system is either rebuilding one of the disks from the other three, or is creating a new array. In your case I think it is the former (if the old array was destroyed you wouldn't see the files over the network). Likely after it is done it will do a file system check.

Ok, thanks for your help. I will leave it to rebuild, and then see what happens at the end of the week. I find it strange that I can see some of the folders and files through the network, but the admin page is not accessible being offline, not connected or switched off.

Hi Stephen
FYIThe Resync must obviously do each disk individually, as I was seeing the % completed figures go up and then the next day it would be down to a lower figure.
The full resync finished Friday morning 2:10am 15th July, so it actually took 4 full days.
All diagnostics and logs show that everything is in order, no error logs, and everything reports healthy
