ReadyNAS RND2000 v2
ready nas is bricked
drive 1 dead
drive 2 has lots of data and the drive tests good but I cannot access any files created or modified after 4/5/2021
testdisk (under ubuntu) runs and doesn't find any of the later files.
scannong the drive with HxD (windows 10) allows me to locate several files with June dates but none of these are reflected in recovery efforts.
drive 2 is a seagate barracuda st2000dm001 2TB

Did you try booting up the NAS with only disk 2 inserted?

yes. tried all combinations.
the nas does not respond to any outside input. no access to boot menu, even tried attaching a serial monitor.
more concerned about retreiving the data.
other solutions to cover data loss now than when I implemented this.
abandoning the ready nas as a solution. past EOL now anyway.

You could try r-linux for windows: https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/
This will only work on one of the two disks (typically the first).
