ReadyNAS RND4000 not recognised on network
Started randomly not being recognised on a windows 10 network but now halts at "booting". the discs spin up but go no furthur. The buttons on the unit do not do anything anymore. i have tried accessing the boot network but cannot. this is the only problem since 2012 when first purchased.
i have been thinking of getting a ReadyNAS 214 to replace it as it is over 5 years old. can anyone tell me if the 4x 1TB discs will transfer over to this new NAS and still be able to access the data? almost forgot. Raidar cannot find unit either. thanks

4x1TB can't transfer from RND4000 to RN214,
RND4000 is 4.x FW, data is using EXT4 filesystem, RN214 is 6.x FW, data is using btrfs filesystem.
The RND4000 disks can be mounted on the RN214 with assistance from paid support. This is read-only, so the files then need to be copied off.

This could be a power supply issue, but without any other symptoms, it's probably not wise to replace it unless you have another NAS from which you could swap one (at no cost).
