ReadyNAS Ultra 2 can see shares but can't access them
I have a readynas ultra 2 that I can see the shares on, but I can't access them. I can see the device on all the computers in my network, and I can see all the shares. When I try to access a share I get a windows hate message saying "windows cannot access \\...."
I can see it in Raidar. I can access it with frontview, and it is telling me the disks are full, but I know that is not the case. I was able to delete a share (in an attempt to clear the 100% used status) in front view.
When I try to run a backup, I get an error message that the shares are not accessible.
I have lots of errors in the frontview logs telling me the 12V+ power is out of range (reporting around 11V).
raidar reports the device is heathly and both disk are functioning. 4.2.31 firmware
I'm hesitant to reboot with 'check and fix quotas' because I do not wish to accidently nuke this data. Am I just a wuss?
I would appreciate any advice on how to retreive this data

Have you tried resetting the file permissions in the shares?

No I did not try changing permissions. Everything is set to read/write default. I'll do it if you think it's worth a shot- should I just change it to read only or disabled and change it back?
I do get 2 error messages when I go to the admin page
the 1st says 'volume scan found errors that it could not easily correct. ensure you have current back ups and run a full volume scan through frontview'
the 2nd says 'the paths for the shares could not be found. typically, this occurs when the readynas is unable to access the data volume'
I tried to 'perform volume scan on reboot' but it didn't seem to work. On the reboot I got only solid power led and full fan speed. Perhaps I didn't let it run long enough? Does anyone know the expected behaviour of the device during the volume scan?

So this is not about permissions, something is wrong with the data volume.
Download the log zip file, and see if there is enough information there to figure out what happened. Look for smart info and also disk errors.
You likely need data recovery to get the data back. Do you have a backup?
