ReadyNAS X6 not showing up in RAIDar
I've had an X6 for some time (obviously), and it's worked great forever. It's our primary file server. I went to use it today and the shares had disappeared. I pulled up RAIDar and it's not showing up. I went downstairs and took a look at it... all 4 disk lights are on solid, the activity light is not blinking at all, and the power light is pulsing.
According to this: http://www.readynas.com/download/docume ... S-LEDA.pdf
That should mean it's booting, but the disk lights should also be blinking. Otherwise "there may be something wrong with the disks" which I'm not sure what that means... all 4 disks can't suddenly have gone bad! The othe roption according to that chart is that a volume scan is running, but if that's the case, if I remember correctly, it should show up in RAIDar.
It's also not accessible by browser.
Please advise!

- drhamadAspirantDon't ask me why but I just stripped, reseated everything, and vacuumed out the whole thing and I've managed to get it running.
Time to back up this thing... of course, that begs the question, how the heck do you back up an 8 TB RAID array... guess it's time to find some large external drives. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserMy solution to the backup problem was to buy another NAS, and back up over the network.
