It has a 1000 Mbit (i.e. Gigabit) NIC in it.
Don't use a Cat5 cable as that's too old. Use a Cat5e or newer ethernet cable.
The Speed/Duplex setting under Network > Interfaces in Frontview should be set to auto-negotiate. If it's set to anything else you won't get gigabit speeds.
