ReadyNAS214 Only Admin login works
I set-up user accounts for 4 users, none of them can log in to the ReadyNAS, the log-in screen just keeps coming up over and over. I restarted the ReadyNAS, no help. I can log into the admin account, however I can not log into ay user account as no users can log into their accounts from their computers either.
What am I missing?

Only the admin account can log into https://nas-ip-address/admin (or https://nas-name/admin), and ordinary users do not need to.
If you have https enabled for a share, then ordinary users can access https://nas-ip-adress/sharename. But the usual way for users to access the NAS is through Windows Explorer (or Finder on a Mac). You enter \\nas-ip-address or \\nas-name in the explorer address bar (the slash direction matters, if you enter the wrong slash Windows will open your browser.

I set up user accounts under accounts, I set up a folder to share, I assigned the user accounts to the folder that I set up under shares and gave each user account read/write permission.
None of my users can sign in. They get a log in screen, put in their name and password, hit enter and then it goes right back to the login screen asking for a password again, stating that the password is wrong. Same result for all user accounts.I have restarted the Netgear ReadyNAS no less than 20 times, makes no difference.
I set up a new computer, under file explorer, I see ReadyNAS, I map it to the "Z" drive and have complete access to the NAS drive. Did not have to put in a username or password.
Do I need to delete the user accounts and just let people do as I did for the for the new computer? I would like some level of security and access control, but when I set up a user account, they just don't work, users can not log in.

In the case of file explorer, have them try putting in the NAS name or IP address in the address bar. You need to prepend it with two \\ (e.g., \\NASNAME or \\NAS-IP-ADDRESS). They need to be careful on the slash direction - using // won't work (and will open their browser).

Note that users need both network access permissions and file permissions. They are on different tabs of the share settings.
In almost all situations, it is enough to set file permissions for everyone access, and only manage network access. That is a lot easier than trying to manage file permissions (which can be reset by the users from Windows).

So, Windows is applying those in the NAS login and the NAS is letting you in. That won't work for other users unless their Windows credentials also match their NAS ones.
One problem that can occur with ReadyNAS is when the user name on the computer matches one on the NAS but the password doesn't. Windows used to then prompt for the right credentials. But now (since a couple updates back), it just denies access. The solution to that is to store the NAS credentials in the Windows Credential manager or always use the command prompt to map a drive, specifying the credentials when you do. I'm not sure if creating a new NAS account that doesn't match the Windows user name will also work.
