It should, though it is regrettably overpriced. If you have a data backup, you might consider replacing the NAS instead.
You could also look into an overseas supplier - even with shipping costs, it might be quite a bit cheaper.

Just last small question: if I just plug 1gb memory in my NAS, one of these below, for example, should it would just fine, no setup or resets needed?
Additional memory doesn't require any configuration. However, the NAS is quite finicky about memory, and some users have run into problems (specifically with misbehavior when upgrading to current firmware).
Netgear doesn't support memory upgrades (which might matter if you used per-incident support in the future).
So be sure to keep the stock memory around, and run the memory test from the boot menu (for several passes) after installing it.
