Replacement NV+ power supply? case #17743028

My NV+ power supply recently failed and I'm unable to locate a source where I can buy a replacement unit for it. The netgear store and amazon is out of stock. Are these power supply no longer manufactured? If that is the case then what are my options to power the NV+?

Thanks for your time

Is your serial number in this range?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10259

If so depending what region you are in you may qualify for a PSU replacement even if the unit is out of warranty.

When did you purchase your NV+? Was it purchased brand new on/after Aug 21, 2007? If so it would still be under warranty. From August 21, 2007 to sometime in 2009(?) I think the warranty on new purchases of the NV+ was 5 years. It then changed to 3 years for new purchases.

    Contact tech support (http://www.readynas.com/support)

You would need to migrate your disks to another Sparc ReadyNAS e.g. NV+ v1 (How to tell whether I have a Duo v1 or Duo v2 or NV+ v1 or NV+ v2, should you wish to migrate your disks to another unit. See http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_migrate_disks_over_from_an_existing_readynas_to_another
  • My NV+ is outside the range for the affect PSU.

I did buy it in 9/08, I'll try tech support and see what they say.

If I'm out of warranty there is no way for me to get a replacement power supply unit for it, beside buying the same NV+ or modifying an off the shelf ATX power supply unit?

If purchased brand new at that date it would still be under warranty. You should get an RMA. Post your case number/RMA number preferably editing the thread title (i.e. subject of first post in the thread) to include it.
  • I contacted tech support and was issue a case # + RMA #. I sent in my PSU today, just have to wait and see what happens.

    Thanks for all the help.
