Replacement of one harddrive in readynas104
Hello Team, We have Readynas 104 Network access drive and in that we have used 4Nos. of 4TB seagate and model no for the same is ST4000DM000. We have confiugred RAID 5 in it. Now of the Hard driv...
Generally DM Seagates haven't worked out that well with RAID (though most of the problems are with the 3 TB model). I'd get a 4 TB NAS-purposed drive (Seagate Ironwolf or WDC Red). You can mix/match models (and even manufacturers) with no problem.
Personally I wouldn't get a used drive for my NAS (though there are posters who do).
