resinch a dieing disk or add new disk & resinch?
Apologies again. I posted the same message in the "Test" board, and got complete unnoticed / unseen. As it is rather urgent, I am re-posting it here, where I hope it will be seen. I could not find a b...
All NV+ v2 systems should still be under warranty (which is 3 years from purchase). The product was launched in the fall of 2011, so there aren't any systems more than three years old.
The warranty is not transferable, so if you didn't purchase new you aren't covered.
I suggest that you engage support next, and not try to do anything more yourself.
BTW, in the future I suggest you get NAS disks (WDC Red are on the HCL). They have 3 year warranties, not the usual 1 for consumer drives, They don't cost much more.
