RN102 - additional disk not visible

Question

Hi, I started running out of free space on ly RN102 (3TB disk, 90% used), so I bought an additional disk of 6TB. Inserted the disk; synchronisation started up. New disk is detected now, both disks are visible in the GUI (Blue bay colour, green led). No alarms or messages, X-RAID is on but there has been no expansion of my volume (so still only 260GB free instead of the exected 6,2 TB). Any idea on how to fix this?

In the second post in&nbsp;Reducing-RAID-size-removing-drives-WITHOUT-DATA-LOSS&nbsp;I show the basics of removing one drive from a RAID1 to go back to JBOD.&nbsp; You could try it before going the destructive route.&nbsp; But be sure to back up the data first, as the destructive route is your fall-back.

Thanks for your prompt response.Bummer, unfortunately was not aware of this calculator before buying a disk. A shame to get this kind of useless capacityIdeally I would havepartitioned 6TB in 2 blocks of 3TBConsider 1 block as 'critical' data, with back-up mechanism with the existing 3TB, remaining 3TB would be non-critical data, not backed-upAlternative would be to work without RAID, just use full 3+6TB capacity and organize some kind of scheduled back-up / protection myself. Would that be possible?
